DeKalb Co. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of “Shots Fired” just Southeast of Auburn Tuesday afternoon.

Reports of a home burglary triggered a manhunt just Southeast of Auburn.

Initial reports indicate that someone broke into a house in the 5200 block of County Road 31 and the armed suspect fled to a wooded area.

Several shots were heard and one suspect was later taken into custody.

At least one school in the area was placed on lock down as a precaution.
