FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Indiana Senator-Elect Joe Donnelly visited the Summit City Sunday evening.

He came as part of his "Giving Back" tour highlighting Hoosiers helping other Hoosiers in need during the holiday season. Donnelly was at the Community Harvest Food Bank on Tillman Road. He toured the facility and learned about its programs.

Donnelly said he personally wanted to thank the food bank team for the work that they do.

"These people are a living example of people caring about one another, of helping their community, and of making sure that our children and our families do not go to bed hungry at night," said Donnelly. In addition to Fort Wayne, Donnelly traveled through the Hoosier state last weekend making stops in Terre Haute, Indianapolis, Evansville, and several other cities.
