Indianapolis, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- The heat kept some people away from the Indiana State Fair this year.

Just wrapping up it's 17-day run, fair officials say attendance was down around 2%.

Total attendance tallied 853,000 people.

The attendance figure is the lowest since the fair was extended to 17 days in 2009.
