FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- Sunday marks the 21st of the month and like every month we are encouraging women to take their health into their own hands and do a monthly breast exam.
Breast Cancer is not only devastating to the women diagnosed with the disease but to the loved ones and caregivers.
Jewelry designer, Tracey Dinius, from Huntington, knows that all too well. Tracey's mother passed away eight years ago, after a 21-year battle with the disease. Her sister was diagnosed three years ago.
Tracey says both were an inspiration for her Pink Collection of jewelry.
"Shortly after I began, I wanted it to be more than just about me and making money. Having lost my mother to breast cancer and having a sister battling it now, I wanted this to be my cause."
Dinius pieces are one-of-a-kind but she will make duplicates if requested and is more than willing to transform traditional pieces into pink pieces.
You can win a pair of earrings with 21Alive's I wear PINK campaign by visiting our I wear PINK Facebook page and responding to the post.
Visit designsbydinius.com to see her full collection or order from the Pink Collection. Part of the proceeds from Pink Collection sales goes to Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center and another part of the proceeds goes to provide a day of pampering at a spa for someone battling the disease.
Tracey Dinius is also our first artist for I wear PINK Art Expressions. A pair of her earrings will be on display all month at Parkview and then auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the Parkview Comprehensive Cancer Center.
