Huntington Referee Dies During Game

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A heartbreaking scene in Huntington County last night when a referee collapses and dies in front of students, athletes and parents.

At the very well attended Crestview - Riverview County championship game, referee Doug Jena collapsed and died.

School officials immediately postponed the game.

Teachers and counselors are available to students with questions or who need help understanding what they saw.

Riverview Principal Chad Crago says, overall parents have done a good job talking with their children about the incident, helping them cope and understanding what happened.
