FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - There is a recent indication that the planned retail and apartment development at Harrison Square might be falling through.

Republican Mayoral Candidate Liz Brown claimed Tuesday she had the "scoop" on the future of the project.

Then she pointed the blame at Mayor Henry.

Brown says, “We've been hearing rumors that the Harrison Project isn't gonna go through and you know, he had a big fanfare for that and that's going to be a real disappointment and he'll have to do some explaining.”

Mayor Henry responded in a statement, saying he is an "enthusiastic advocate for downtown."

He also said he's "eager to celebrate the next step in its development," but they're taking "cues from the private-sector development team."
