UNION MILLS, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – It's been two weeks since one person died in an accidental grain mill explosion in Northwest Indiana.

This week, experts assessed the extent of the damage at Co-Alliance Union Mills Grain Facility.

In a statement released Saturday evening, the CEO of Co-Alliance says they are now able to move forward in developing the reconstruction plan, with the goal of receiving soybeans at harvest and wet corn by October 1.

Reconstruction will begin immediately, to meet the harvest operability goal. Officials say the facility will be fully restored by 2014.

Co-Alliance is a 100-percent farmer-owned partnership of cooperative businesses.
