HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Emergency crews were kept busy all day long responding to numerous crashes.

In Huntington County police say speed and slick roads were a deadly combination.

Police say 31-year-old Audon Paramo was killed when his northbound SUV he was traveling in lost control, crossed the median and struck a south bound utility truck, while moving at a high rate of speed .

The driver of the SUV, was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Paramo was wearing his seat belt and was killed.

All southbound traffic was diverted off the Interstate onto U.S. 224 as police investigated the crash.
