FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – The FOP hosts its Eighth Annual Pancake Breakfast.

Nothing like discussing community issues over hot pancakes and sizzling sausage.

The Eighth Annual "All-You-Can-Eat Pancake and Sausage Breakfast" and bake sale kicked off Saturday morning at the Fraternal Order of Police lodge.

Preparations began Friday night and doors opened to people waiting in line at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

Local politicians, police, and people from the community came together to eat, visit, and talk local matters.

According to FOP President Sgt. Mitch McKinney the event brings more than just food to the table.

“It's not about business. It's not about government. It's about getting together as a community, and we can discuss some issues, but it's friendly conversations. We can get together and discuss the issues that matter, and those are the folks that need help in our community,” he said.

Sgt. McKinney says over 200 people attended Saturday’s breakfast.
