WASHINGTON, DC (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Ten days remain until 160 million Americans will see a smaller paycheck unless members of congress come to terms over the payroll tax holiday.
Republicans and Democrats in Congress remain deadlocked in a bitter dispute over a 2 percentage point tax cut in payroll taxes due to expire on December 31st.
The Senate voted to extend the tax for two months the house would like the tax extended for a year.
Speaker of the House John Boehner accuses Democrats of refusing to appoint members to a conference committee where they could reach agreement.
