Christmas Morning Shooting Leaves One Critical (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- A shooting Christmas morning at a little after 1 a.m. has Fort Wayne Police on the hunt for two shooters.

It happened at Sports and Spirits near the intersection of N. Anthony and E. Wayne.

When the cops showed up they found several shell casings just outside the entrance to the bar and several bullet holes in one of the windows of the bar and one man and one woman inside had been hit. The man was in critical condition and the woman in fair. Bboth were rushed to the hospital.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a disturbance occurred inside the bar. The bouncer of the bar escorted the subjects who were instigating the confrontation outside and then locked the door. The subjects, once outside began to shoot through the window into the bar. It is unknown at this time if the two victims who were shot were involved in the initial disturbance.

Video surveillance and witnesses were instrumental in identifying the shooters. At this time officers are attempting to locate the shooters based on initial reports. The crime scene is being processed for further evidence and the video footage continues to be reviewed.
