FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Nearly 200 artists took to the streets outside the Fort Wayne Museum of Art to decorate Chalk Walk along Main Street.
The museum is hosting the Chalk Walk and says the street art is inspired by the Italian tradition of sidewalk painting, which dates back to the 16th century.
Using sidewalk chalk, artists drew portraits of everything from comic book characters to the Mona Lisa.
The Chalk Walk will be on display for all to enjoy throughout the festival—weather pending, of course.
