FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – A church in Fort Wayne is celebrating for being nearly two centuries old.

Bethel United Methodist Church celebrated its 170th anniversary Sunday, and the congregation celebrated by imitating life from the 1840's.

Following morning service there was a potluck and an old time Christian revival of 1843, when the church was built.

Those in attendance were able to dress in the typical fashion seen in the 1840's time period. Other activities included special music, refreshments, and guest speakers.
