FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – Physicals for disadvantaged youth.

The African American Healthcare Alliance of Fort Wayne is conducting the annual Metro Football League physicals at the Weisser Park Youth Center Saturday.

This program provides free health screenings to league players between the ages of six and 18.

The annual physicals address the health and disparity issues of African Americans in our community.

“This would be a great opportunity to provide some education, some direct contact for potential mentoring, so we hope that this provides exposure for them and that they can also be inspired while benefitting from a free physical exam,” said Dr. Michelle Collins-Austin with Parkview Physicians.

Doctors and nurses volunteer their time and services to conduct over six hundred physical exams each year.
