FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Grownups got to show off their spelling t-a-l-e-n-t-s at a fundraiser, Friday night.

Fort Wayne Community Schools' Study Connection hosted the first Great Grown up spelling bee to raise money for the after school program.

Teams of three worked together vying for the coveted honeycomb trophy.

Sharon Callender\Coordinator of Community Programs, says, “This funding will be able to provide additional support to both the students and the tutors as well as create greater awareness and volunteer recruitment efforts for us.”

Study Connection has been around since 1989 helping 10,000 students!
