Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Angola and Steuben County welcomed Indiana's NewsCenter crews Wednesday for the inaugural segments of "Life's Better Here" airing on Indiana's NewsCenter at 5 on WPTA 21Alive.

INC anchor-reporter Eric Olson and meteorologist Jason Meyers spent the day with photojournalist Bob Johnston on the landmark circle, meeting a lot of friendly people and reporting on the Angola area's history and futrure, and the weather that's unique to the area. They saw first hand the exciting changes taking place in Angola.

For the next ten weeks and every Wednesday this summer, Indiana’s NewsCenter invites you to come along for the ride as we hit the road to highlight the towns and communities in NE Indiana that make Life Better Here. Next stop is Columbia City on Wednesday, June 16th.

“We wanted to tap into the incredible and unique towns we have in our area,” says INC President and General Manager Jerry Giesler. “It’s a continuation of our past community efforts where we would visit a town’s festival, but in a way that highlights more of what our communities have to offer.”

For eleven consecutive Wednesdays through August, Indiana’s NewsCenter is devoting special reports within its our-long 5pm newscast on 21Alive on the history and future of our area towns.

"There's a lot we've learned about Angola and Steuben County that we were able to share with our viewers, through the special stories but also with a ticker that had more facts and information,” adds INC News Director Peter Neumann.

From rich historic and recreational locations to festivities, shopping and hidden gems, we’ll show you what makes Life Better Here in Northern Indiana.
