INDIANA (www.incnow.tv) - The State Department of Education is days away from releasing school and district performance ratings.

According to our partners at the Journal Gazette, the Department of Education now gives schools "A" through "F" grades based on student standardized test scores. The previous system used categories such as "Academic Progress" and "Probation."

It's the second year for this system and if a school gets an "F" six years in a row the state has the right to take over.
