FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) - An equipment malfunction at an Indiana-Michigan Power station caused a significant power outage early Saturday morning.

Nearly 2,500 I&M customers in areas near Lawton Park, Headwaters Park and the University of Saint Francis lost power around 3 a.m, the power company reports.
