INDIANAPOLIS (www.incnow.tv) – One person is dead following a pileup on I-65 near Franklin, south of Indianapolis.

The pileup happened after traffic had slowed down near mile marker 83, and one driver rear-ended another.

Indiana State Police (ISP) say the driver who got rear-ended was pronounced dead the scene. She's been identified as 76-year-old Donna Mann of Franklin, Ind.

Two adults and three children from another van involved in the crash were transported to a local hospital with pain, bruises and scratches from seatbelts and airbags.

Two other adults from a separate vehicle were also taken to hospitals with minor injuries.

ISP says the crash involved several vehicles, including semi-trucks. The pileup briefly shut down the northbound lanes on Saturday afternoon.

No charges have been filed at this time, and an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
