FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Fort Wayne police are investigating two more apartment complexes robberies Thursday night.

The first was in Island Club Apartments, 8700 block of Gulf Dr., just after 10:00. A woman reported to police that she was forced into her apartment at gunpoint by two male suspects, then bound and robbed. She was not injured, police say.

A little more than an hour later, police say two men broke into an apartment at the Cambridge Square Apartments, 7500 block of Cold Springs Blvd., and stole several items before fleeing. Three people inside the apartment were bound; two of the victims reported injuries. One of the three victims freed himself and shot a firearm at the fleeing suspects.

Police report six other robberies at Canterbury Green, Autumn Creek Apartments, Gardenview Apartments and Colony Bay Apartments earlier in the week.

In all of the cases, police say two armed men approached victims outside their apartments before the robberies.

Police say the suspects are likely driving a white or light-colored boxy-styled Jeep Cherokee.

Anyone who may have information on any of the robberies is asked to call the Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 800-237-STOP (7867).

Police encourage people living in apartments to be vigilant. Park in well-lit areas, notice surroundings and report suspicious activity to investigators.
