HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. - Seven adults and five children were injured in a crash involving a school bus and a box truck in Hendricks County on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened about 2 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 65, just south of Interstate 865.

The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, Indiana State Police said.

Special needs students from Mentone Elementary School in Tippecanoe County were on the bus.

I-65 reopened after the bus was towed away before 3:30 p.m.

ISP said a box truck made a lane change and struck the bus. The bus rolled once and landed on its wheels in the median.

Police are looking for the driver of that box truck.

St. Vincent Hospital received some of the patients, and Methodist Hospital said it had prepared to receive patients, too.
