WASHINGTON (www.incnow.tv) -- After the Senate rejects expanded background checks for guns, President Obama calls it a shameful day for Washington.
After listening to the father of a child killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the president expressed his disappointment in the US Senate.
Obama asked how something that 90-percent of Americans support can be voted down.
He said it was politics plain and simple and blamed the National Rifle Association for spreading lies about the proposal.
The president says efforts to improve safety are not over.
