DETROIT, Mich. (www.incnow.tv) – Turning the page on yet another era of the quintessential American sports car. Chevrolet rolled out its 7th generation Corvette Sunday evening in Detroit.
It’s been one of the most anticipated events in months. The Corvette shares only two parts with the previous model. It’s the first new Corvette since 2005, and first since 1973 to carry the name “Stingray.”
GM’s North American president calls it the best Corvette ever made. Mark Reuss says, “For 60 years, Corvette has represented state of the art, high performance cars. To put it simply, this car is the reason I work at General Motors.”
The new Corvette Stingray will be built at GM’s Bowling Green assembly plant in Kentucky. It goes on sale later this year. No word on how much it will cost yet.
