ATLANTA, Ga. (www.incnow.tv) - In Atlanta, one of the most topsy-turvy seasons in college basketball history had the ending it deserved, an up and down battle between Louisville and Michigan.
It was all Michigan in the first half. Freshman reserve, Spike Albrecht, put in 4 three pointers for the Wolverines helping them gain a commanding 12-point lead. That advantage quickly disappeared when Louisville’s Luke Hancock, also a bench player, exploded for 13 unanswered points to close out the first half.
The remainder of the game was an absolute classic with both teams trading baskets. In the end, the Cards prevailed 82-76, and injured guard Kevin Ware, an inspiration to his team, cut down the net.
