CONNECTICUT (www.incnow.tv) - In Connecticut, months after one of the worst shooting tragedies in American history, the state has adopted the toughest gun laws in the country.

Governor Daniel Malloy put pen to paper on the bill, as relatives of Sandy Hook victims looked on. The new law restricts large capacity magazines similar to the ones used in the Newtown shootings, and requires mandatory background checks. It also adds firearms to the state’s assault weapons ban, limits the sale of ammunition magazines, and creates the nation’s first dangerous weapon offender registry.
