Washington D.C. (www.incnow.tv) - The U.S. Army is seeking the death penalty against Staff Sergeant Robert Bales, who stands accused of murdering 16 Afghan villagers back in March.
That decision was handed down, Wednesday.
39-year-old Bales faces charges of pre-meditated murder in the pre-dawn attack on two separate Afghan villages.
The attack drew such angry protests that the U.S. was forced to halt operations in Afghanistan.
No date is set for Bale's court martial.
