According to a news release issued this week by the Okaloosa County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office, authorities said a 24-year-old Florida woman was arrested Monday night for allegedly trying to steal a patrol car after being arrested for DUI.
According to the news release from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office:
(The suspect) was arrested for driving under the influence and placed into the back of the patrol car. (The suspect) managed to slip out of her handcuffs and climb through the divider window to slide into the driver’s seat.
As the deputy prevented her from taking off, she hit him several times with a closed fist. (The suspect) also had given the deputy a false name and date of birth during the initial traffic stop
