Shoplifting Suspect Allegedly Throws Her Baby At Deputy Trying to Arrest Her

A bizarre incident in Florida this week leads to the arrest of a shoplifting suspect on child abuse and other charges, according to authorities.

According to a report from the Pensacola (Fla.) News-Journal, authorities said the 23-year-old woman allegedly threw her baby at a deputy who was trying to arrest her for shoplifting on Monday. The child was not injured, according to the News-Journal report.

The woman has been charged with child abuse, petty theft and resisting an officer without violence, according to a news release from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.
