According to a report from Granite Broadcasting sister station Northland's NewsCenter in Duluth, Minn., FBI officials believe they have thwarted a possible terror attack in Minnesota.

According to the report from Northland's NewsCenter:

On Friday, May 3rd, several law enforcement organizations raided a mobile home in Montevideo, MN. Officials say they found several guns and explosive devices during their search of the residence.

24-year-old Buford Rogers of Montevideo was arrested in connection with the raid and taken into custody without incident. A complaint against Rogers has been filed in Federal District Court, District of Minnesota.

In a news release from the FBI, officials say they believe "that a terror attack was disrupted by law enforcement personnel and that the lives of several local residents were potentially saved".

The FBI also went on to say that this alleged terror attack was thwarted because of the “cooperation between the FBI and its federal, state, and local partners enabled law enforcement to prevent a potential tragedy in Montevideo.”

Officials say they continue to investigate this case.
