Soccer Referee Dies After Being Punched by Teenage Player

A tragic story from Utah.

According to a report from The Salt Lake Tribune, police said a 46-year-old soccer referee from Utah died on Saturday, one week after reportedly being punched in the face by a 17-year-old boy during a game.

The boy accused of punching the referee is being held in a juvenile detention facility and has not yet been charged with a crime, according to The Salt Lake Tribune report.
