A shocking story from California on Friday.

According to a report from the Long Beach (Calif.) Press-Telegram, police said a man was hospitalized in critical condition on Friday night after a homeless man allegedly threw a flammable substance into his vehicle outside a convenience store.

Police believe the incident was a random act, according to the Long Beach Press-Telegram report.
