Report: Woman Pleads No Contest to Killing Ex-Husband With Scalding Water

A plea in connection with a shocking case in California.

According to a report from the San Mateo County Times, attorneys said a 41-year-old California woman pleaded no contest this week to charges that she murdered her husband by pouring scalding water on him in 2011.

The woman is facing 16 years to life in prison and will be sentenced in May, according to the San Mateo County Times report. The woman's ex-husband died from a blood infection brought on by the burns he suffered in the attack, according to the San Mateo County Times report.
