Man Throws Frying Pan at Mother During Argument, Police Say

A bizarre story from California involving a man, his mother and a frying pan

According to a report from Granite Broadcasting sister station KSEE 24 in Fresno, Calif:

Police in Porterville, Calif., said they arrested a man who allegedly threw a frying pan at his mother during an argument in their home.

Police allege the man threw the metal pan at his 64-year-old mother, narrowly missing the woman but damaging kitchen cabinets.

The woman called police to report the incident but the suspect fled the scene before their arrival. The suspect was arrested nearly 12 hours later when he returned to the home.

The man was booked into the Tulare County Sheriff's Department and facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
