A strange story from Minnesota, courtesy of Granite Broadcasting sister station Northland's NewsCenter in Duluth, Minn.
According to the report from Northland's NewsCenter:
A former International Falls, Minn., man, accused of killing his wife in November of 2010, has pleaded guilty to an amended charge of 2nd Degree Murder.
51-year-old Carl Chester Muggli and his wife, Linda, owned a wood carving business together.
The criminal complaint says authorities responded to a call that a totem pole had fallen on the woman as she and her husband worked on the wood carving.
Linda subsequently died from injuries she sustained from the incident.
A Koochiching County judge ordered a pre-sentence investigation before his next court date, February 4th, where he is scheduled to be sentenced.
