A strange story from New York, courtesy of Granite Broadcasting sister station WBNG in Binghamton, N.Y.
According to the WBNG report:
An 18-year-old female inmate faces further charges after allegedly giving a controlled substance to another inmate at the Otsego County Jail in Middlefield, N.Y.
The woman was allegedly given a smuggled Adderell tablet back in November by another woman in the jail on a probation violation.
The suspect allegedly gave another inmate the tablet two weeks ago.
The suspect was arraigned Monday in Middlefield Town Court on felony promoting prison contraband and felony criminal sale of a controlled substance.
The suspect is back in the Otsego County Jail where she is serving three six-month consecutive sentences.
If convicted she faces up to nine-and-a-half years in prison.
