Russian Lawmakers Pass Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty

RUSSIA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Russia formally approved the new strategic arms reduction treaty (START) on Wednesday.

The treaty, passed by the U.S. Senate last month, reduces Russia's and the United States' nuclear weapons arsenal.

START reduces each side's weapons to 1,550 and provides for regular inspections.
