May 29, 2013 Updated May 29, 2013 at 4:11 PM EDT

Brittney Griner wasted little time in making an impact on the WNBA.

Griner, the 6-foot-8 former Baylor star who was the first pick in the most recent WNBA draft, made her league debut this week, and did so in emphatic style, throwing down a pair of dunks for the Phoenix Mercury in a loss to the Chicago Sky on Monday night.

Griner is the first player to dunk twice in a game in league history, and only the third player to thow down a dunk during a regular season game, according to ESPN Stats & Info.
