According to the WBNG report:

Two workers at a construction site in Ithaca, N.Y. were air-lifted to trauma centers after falling four stories down an elevator shaft on Saturday morning.

Two bricklayers were working above the elevator shaft at the
construction site when the scaffolding fell through the floor they
were working on, causing them to fall into the elevator shaft. They fell about four stories to the bottom.

They were treated on scene and airlifted to regional trauma centers. One subject was listed in critical condition and the other was listed in stable condition.
