Former 'Welcome Back Kotter' Actor Dies

"Welcome Back Kotter" has lost a member of its class.

According to the Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger, Robert Hegyes, who played Juan Epstein on the popular 1970s comedy died Thursday in New Jersey. He was 60.

Hegyes also co-starred on the hit show "Cagney and Lacey" according to the Star-Ledger.
