Teacher Chooses Prison Rather Than Registering as Sex Offender

Three years in prison, or a lifetime as a registered sex offender?

A 27-year-old former teacher in Florida accused of having sex with a student chose the time behind bars Monday as part of a plea agreement, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

According to the Sentinel story, the woman turned down a plea deal in which she would not have had to serve any jail time, but would have had to register as a sex offender.
