Man Sentenced to Six Years in Prison for Shooting at Neighbor's Dog

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, a California man was sentenced to six years in prison on Friday for firing a gun a his neighbor's dog while a 7-year-old girl was in the vicinity in May.

The man was convicted in October on three charges, including child abuse. Police said the man followed the girl and dog inside their house and pointed the gun at the girl after shooting at the dog.
