Wabash County Tanker Fire

WABASH, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A massive tanker fire in Wabash had emergency crews working for most of the day.

The blaze began around 5:23 Wednesday morning on State Road 13 just south of Wabash. After the trucker thought his brakes were on fire.

When he tried to extinguish the flames, the fire spread to the tanker, lighting 8,500 gallons of fuel.

No one was hurt from the incident.

After surveying State Road 13 INDOT crews confirmed damage was done to the road and that the road will remain closed for repair.
