INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - We've received plenty of feedback about a bill making its way through the Indiana Statehouse that would tie unemployment benefits to drug testing.

The bill was introduced by two freshman Republican lawmakers and if it's passed, it would take effect this July.

We spoke with about a dozen people outside the unemployment office this morning, and the majority of them supported the bill.

Supporter Robert Bush says, “They should test for drugs, it's not fair to people that are being truthful about it. I think it's unfair.”

Supporter Theda Gibson says, “I agree, I think they should, they should be clean and be able to give 100 percent.”

Well over 100 people posted their reaction on our Facebook page. While some disagreed with the bill, a large majority said they feel the drug testing would be a positive step.
