FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) --- Ken Scheibenberger worked his final day on the bench Thursday, but he had some parting shots for Wendy Davis, who will replace him as an Allen Superior Court Judge starting Monday.

A dozen residents tried to have Scheibenberger's name removed from the November ballot, because of a three-day suspension stemming from a courtroom confrontation.

That effort failed, but Davis won the election.

Scheibenberger is convinced she was behind the campaign to undermine his candidacy.

Judge Ken Scheibenberger/Allen Superior Criminal Court: " The attacks on my integrity and my family were just uncalled for. If that's the way that the politics is going to be for the judges races, then I'm glad I'm not part of it anymore. It's disgusting to have to worry about those things."

Scheibenberger began his term on the bench in the early 1990’s.
