DETROIT (MyTV 20) - The city of Detroit believes the man who killed exotic dancer Tamara Greene is already behind bars. That's why they filed a motion in federal court yesterday to dismiss a lawsuit against the city and former mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.
In documents obtained by the "Detroit Free Press", city officials claim Darrett King, who is already in jail for other crimes he committed, killed Greene back in 2003 after a drug deal went bad. The city says Greene was shot while sitting in her car when King tried to shoot another man by the name of Eric Mitchell. For this reason, the city asked a federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit Greene's family filed against Detroit and Kilpatrick.
