WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Wells County Prosecutor has filed the necessary paperwork to charge a Wells County man with a second count of murder.

Tyler White is now charged with murder in the death of a fetus.

His estranged wife at the time, Amy Meyer White, was pregnant when police say Tyler White shot and killed her.

The prosecutor’s office needed to line up a witness that could testify White knew his wife was pregnant at the time of the killing before filing the charge. A witness recently revealed new information making the charge possible.

Police say White confessed to shooting his wife back in October of 2009 as the two met to exchange custody of their toddler son.
