MERRILLVILLE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The search continues for the mother of a new born found abandoned on the door step of a police officer's home last Friday.

Police say the full term infant with the umbilical cord still attached was left wrapped in a sweater and placed in a box.

The baby is in good condition despite being left outside in temperatures which were in the single digits.
