Mobile Home Fire Claims One Life

COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - A meth lab explosion killed a Whitley County woman early Friday morning.

It happened around one a.m. in a home at the "Miami Village" mobile home park off Old Trail Road near Columbia City.

24 year old Alecia Stein was found dead on the floor of the bedroom, with chemical burns to her face and shards of glass in her throat, neck and arm.

A deputy was treated at the hospital for irritation of his respiratory system after he breathed in chemicals at the scene.
