WASHINGTON (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Senator Richard Lugar is proposing a piece of legislation that would offer tax breaks to small business owners in exchange for their assistance in helping food banks.
The Hunger Relief Tax Incentive Act would give small donors the same tax breaks as a company giving a major donation.
It was first introduced 11 years ago and Senator Lugar says he brings it back up in times of need.
