Indiana Prisoners Made $1.4 Million In 2009

INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - According to an IRS report Indiana prison inmates are accused of filing $1.4 million in fraudulent tax returns and that figure is just what the government knows of.

The figures come from 2009 and showed in some cases prisoners received refunds up to $50,000 a piece.
